“Remember when you thought you couldn’t, and then you did? Now is the time to channel that energy.”

Today, the eighth day of the eight month, in a year that is a multiple of eight, is known as the Lion’s Gate Portal. Astrologically, today is a day of increased cosmic energy due to the alignment of the Earth, the star Sirius, and the Sun in the zodiac sign of Leo. This alignment opens a powerful energetic portal, which supercharges spiritual growth, transformation, and manifestation. Whatever you’ve been working on this year, whatever you have been dreaming of, whatever you hope to receive by the end of 2024…. today is the day to make your intentions clear and envision them all coming true. Draw from your own life’s well of proof that you are powerful beyond measure, and that you are worthy of everything you desire. Because you are, and you are.

In addition to the astrological alignment of the Earth, stars and sun, today’s date brings up the angel number 888. 8 represents infinity, which is the ideal word to describe the energy that is within each of us: it is indestructible. All we can do is be deliberate about how we choose to transmute the energy we are born with. Where will we devote our time, attention and love? Where will we put our life force?

Both the Lion’s Gate Portal and the angel number 888 point to prosperity and abundance, and with the Harvest Moon (September) so close, I feel the payoff coming. This year has been an exercise in trust, in doubling down on my own capabilities and vision for my future, and for creating the most honest and intimate human connections possible with the people I love. When I think of the abundance that I hope today, 8/8, the Lion’s Gate Portal delivers, what I wish for most is an amplification of the things I think we all need the most: security, health, joy, human connection and possibility.

How can you make the most of today’s energy? Write both a progress report and also a vision statement. Write down all the ways in which you’ve made yourself proud this year — instead of a to do list, an I did it list. Fill yourself up with gratitude and joy that is grounded in your reality. You’ve done so much, I know this without needing the details. But have you stopped to give yourself credit? Have you allowed yourself the win? Then, with this same energy of gratitude and joy, write down how the rest of this year plays out for you. Write down the wins of the future as though they are already yours. Because they are.

Energy never leaves us, it merely transmutes. Take the energy of the past and project it towards your future, right through the portal that is the Lion’s Gate. May every one of your wishes be granted and amplified.
